ISO consultancy in Dammam
For manufacturers in MODON's industrial cities, answering to MODON as landlord and to the customers who audit them.
Dammam's industry sits in MODON's three industrial cities, anchored by Dammam 2nd, which MODON put at about 1,048 factories in a release dated February 2018. A plant here answers to MODON as landlord and licensor, to NCEC for its environmental permit, and to customers who audit it against their own checklist.

Dammam is a MODON city. Jubail, up the coast, is a Royal Commission city, and the landlord, the permits and the environmental rules all change at that boundary.
The industrial cities, and the headquarters next door
Dammam 2nd Industrial City
The anchor, on the Dhahran to Al-Ahsa road, established in 1978 across 25.5 million square metres. MODON's own sector list for it runs from building materials and chemicals to food, medical industries and paper, so the standards asked for range from ISO 14001 to HACCP within one city.
Dammam 1st and 3rd Industrial Cities
The older and newer MODON cities either side of the second. Same landlord and the same permit chain, so the obligations register has the same shape from plant to plant and only the site conditions change.
Dhahran
Aramco's headquarters, beside the city. Suppliers register through Aramco's e-marketplace on SAP Ariba, and buyers in that supply chain routinely require ISO 9001 from the plants that supply them.
What MODON says the plants make
MODON's published sector list for Dammam 2nd, with the standard each sector is most often asked for.
| Sector | What they need from us |
|---|---|
| Building materials and non-metallic minerals | ISO 9001 for the buyer, ISO 14001 where dust and water use make the aspects register the real work, ISO 45001 around heavy plant. |
| Chemicals, rubber and plastics | ISO 14001 with effluent and chemical storage at the centre of the register, and ISO 45001 for isolation and permits. |
| Food products and beverages | HACCP for the SFDA licence, then FSSC 22000 or another GFSI-recognised scheme when a retailer names one. |
| Medical industries | ISO 9001 for the corporate system, with SFDA requirements carried in the compliance register. |
| Wood, furniture, textiles, printing and paper | ISO 45001 where fire load and extraction dominate the risk, and ISO 9001 for the customer. |

Is a plant in Dammam regulated differently from one in Jubail?
Yes. In Dammam, MODON is landlord and licensor and the environmental permit runs through NCEC on the national route. In Jubail the Royal Commission holds those roles and applies its own environmental regulations on top of national rules. An ISO 14001 register has to reflect whichever side of that line the plant sits on.
What does a typical engagement here look like?
A fabrication workshop in Dammam 2nd Industrial City building ISO 14001. We build the aspects register on site by walking the process: cutting fluids, paint waste, compressor noise, the drain at the washdown bay. Each legal obligation is written as the condition it places on operations rather than as the name of a regulation, and MODON and national requirements sit in one register with the source of each.
Why is the 1,048 figure dated 2018?
Because that is the date of the MODON release it comes from, and it is the last count MODON published for Dammam 2nd. We quote it with its date rather than as a live number.
Our biggest customer audits us every year. Can the system answer that audit too?
It should. Customer findings map onto clauses, so the evidence a customer asks for sits where an assessor looks for it. Their checklist becomes a source in your register rather than a separate folder someone rebuilds each year.
Part of one system
Every division keeps records to the same standard, so the second one you need works the way the first one did.
Start with the register
The gap analysis lists every obligation your plant carries, with its source, and shows which ones your current system misses. You keep the report whatever you decide.
