Who stands at the front of the room

One trainer standard for each kind of course, and every trainer named to you before we mobilise.

Management system and skills courses are taught by practising auditors. Fire courses are taught by a NEBOSH-certified safety professional, and first aid by a medically qualified life support trainer. Each trainer is named to you, with a CV and qualification certificates, before we mobilise.

A funnel of four stages. The course sets the standard: systems and skills courses by practising auditors, fire by a NEBOSH-certified professional, first aid and CPR by a medically qualified trainer. The language of the room narrows the choice. The confirmed dates decide who mobilises. The trainer is then named with a CV and qualification certificates, reviewed by your HSE or training function. The trainer who assesses signs the certificates, and for emergency response the qualification record goes into your evidence pack.HOW A TRAINER IS ASSIGNED TO YOUR COURSETHE COURSE SETS THE STANDARDSYSTEMS AND SKILLSPRACTISINGAUDITORSFIRENEBOSH-CERTIFIEDPROFESSIONALFIRST AID AND CPRMEDICALLYQUALIFIEDTHE LANGUAGE OF THE ROOM NARROWS THE CHOICECONFIRMED DATES DECIDE WHO MOBILISESNAMED WITH A CV ANDQUALIFICATION CERTIFICATESREVIEWED BY YOUR HSE OR TRAINING FUNCTIONTHE TRAINER WHO ASSESSES SIGNS THE CERTIFICATESEMERGENCY RESPONSE: QUALIFICATION RECORD IN YOUR EVIDENCE PACK

Three standards, set by the kind of course

The standard follows what the course has to prove. Management system and skills courses need someone who audits these systems for a living. Fire courses need a safety professional with fire risk field experience. First aid needs a medically qualified trainer certified in basic life support.

The examples in a management system course come from the trainer's own audit work in factories, warehouses, kitchens and offices, which is why the exercises can run on real findings.

Emergency response courses work differently. The authority behind those certificates is the qualification of the trainer who signs them, so that qualification becomes part of your record.

CoursesTrainer standard

First aid and CPRA medically qualified trainer certified in basic life support, who brings and operates the manikins and AED trainer units

How a trainer is assigned to your course

A trainer is assigned once the course, the language of the room and the dates are known. The course sets the standard the trainer must meet. The language narrows the choice. The confirmed dates decide who mobilises.

Language is the constraint that can move a date. A trainer who meets the course standard and teaches in the room's language has to be matched before a date can be committed, which is why Arabic delivery of emergency response courses is quoted separately.

  • The course sets the trainer standard in the table above
  • The language of the room decides which trainer and which handouts are scheduled
  • The trainer who assesses the participants signs their certificates

Vetting a trainer before anyone arrives

With the proposal, or before mobilisation, you receive each trainer's CV and qualification certificates, and your HSE or training function reviews them before anyone arrives on site. For emergency response, the trainer's qualification record also goes into your evidence pack.

If your procurement process needs CVs before award, ask for them with the technical proposal. For emergency response courses, the CVs and qualification certificates go to your HSE function before we mobilise in every case.

On your site, our trainers work under your rules: we need site access and your safety induction for them, and they follow your PPE requirements wherever a course walks the site.

01

About the trainers

Q01

Can we see trainer CVs before we award the work?

Yes. Ask for them with the technical proposal and they come with it, together with the qualification certificates.

Q02

Who signs the certificates?

The trainer who assessed the participants. For emergency response, that trainer's qualification record goes into your evidence pack, because it is the authority behind the certificate.

Q03

Does the trainer need our safety induction?

Yes, for any course on your site. Site access and a safety induction for our trainers are on the list of what you provide, alongside the room and the participant list.

Ask for the CVs with the proposal

Tell us the course, the language of the room and the site. The trainer is matched to all three, and named to you with a CV and qualification certificates before we mobilise.
